The Open House will feature interactive demonstrations, exhibits and tours of world-class, cutting-edge research facilities. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the work Argonne staff and visiting scientists do to tackle some of the greatest global challenges in environmental sustainability, security, energy systems, transportation, and healthcare.
Argonne's international staff is at the forefront of research in areas as diverse as building next-generation supercomputers, devising cheaper and safer nuclear energy and furthering our understanding of the evolution of the universe.
The Open House is free and open to the public. However, attendance is limited so advanced registration is required.
Argonne is easily accessible by car from downtown Chicago, as well as from Chicago's two airports. (Google Maps)
Bus service is not available to the laboratory on weekends.
From I-55, exit at south at Cass Avenue. Turn right at the Argonne sign on Northgate Road, immediately south of I-55. Follow Northgate Road to the Argonne Information Center.
