Blackhawk College Small Business Development Center

For more than 28 years, the Illinois Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Black Hawk College has provided business counseling and support to entrepreneurs and existing businesses. We’ve done this by providing businesses with the resources needed to solve business-related problems and take advantage of new opportunities. We have helped more than 200 companies obtain loans in excess of more than $40 million to start or expand their businesses, which have created or retained more than 3,400 jobs. This location also houses a Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC), which provides one-on-one counseling, technical information, marketing assistance and training to existing businesses that are interested in selling their products and/or services to local, state, or federal government agencies, as well as an International Trade Center (ITC), which provides information, counseling and training to existing, new to-export companies interested in pursuing international trade opportunities.
