BlueCross BlueShield Venture Partners, L.P. manages $300 million in capital across two funds. It is sponsored by the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association, an association of independent Blue Cross and Blue Shield companies. The fund is backed by 24 individual Blue Entities and invests in promising emerging companies of strategic relevance to Blue Cross and Blue Shield Plans. Through an exclusive arrangement, management of the Fund is shared between participating Blue Plans, the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association, and Sandbox Industries.
