Chicago Innovation Mentors (CIM) is a consortium of the University of Chicago, University of Illinois, Northwestern University, PROPEL, and Argonne National Laboratory. CIM's mission is to support university-based and local new technology innovation ventures through the use of mentor teams. CIM works with each science-based mentee venture to encourage innovation, catalyze tech commercialization, strengthen the ecosystem necessary to support entrepreneurs, enhance local economic development, and embrace risk taking. CIM is setting the stage for long term growth in Chicago-based entrepreneurship, innovation and commercialization. There are no fees associated with the Chicago Innovation Mentors program for mentors or mentees. That being said, you must go through the CIM application process in order to be selected as a mentor. All mentees must have ties to one of the participating universities or PROPEL. If you are interested in participating in CIM as a Mentor or Mentee, and meet our qualifications, please contact our Operations Manager, Martha Wade.
