M25 Group

M25 Group is a Midwest, seed-stage micro-VC firm. Our mission statement is: M25 Group seeks to responsibly steward our investors’ capital by sourcing alternative investments with substantial potential to multiply.

M25 comes from Jesus’ Parable of the Talents in Matthew 25:14-30. In the parable, a master gives his three servants varying amounts of money to steward while he is away. Two of the servants double the master’s money by trading in the markets, while one of the servants buries the master’s money to keep it safe. When the master returns, he blesses the servants who have responsibly managed the money they were given, but curses the servant who buried the money – at the very least, he should have invested the money in the bank to accrue interest.

We view this parable as a Biblical example of wise entrepreneurship as well as an exhortation to properly steward all that God has given. This notion is foremost in our investment philosophy –  both as we invest our own capital and as we responsibly manage capital entrusted to us.
