By assisting companies in defining their path to success, the SIUE SBDC network positively impacts the Southwestern Illinois Region by strengthening existing companies, creating new jobs, retaining existing jobs. The SIUE SBDC enhances Southwestern Illinois’s economic interests providing one-stop assistance to individuals by means of counseling, training, research, and advocacy for new ventures and existing small businesses. When appropriate, the SIUE SBDC strives to affiliate its ties to the Southwestern Illinois Region to support the goals and objectives of both the SIUE School of Business and the University at large. This location also houses an International Trade Center (ITC), which provides information, counseling and training to existing, new to-export companies interested in pursuing international trade opportunities.
